Questions, answered
Yes. The beam is a soft, cold-white light aimed down at the claw, away from the face. It simply backlights the nail so the quick becomes visible — there is no heat and no laser.
It helps significantly. On pale claws the quick is obvious; on darker claws the LED reveals a clearer boundary than you'd see in normal light, so you can trim with more confidence.
Both. The blade opening and hardened-steel edge suit cats, kittens, and small-to-medium dogs. For very large breeds with thick claws, trim in small passes.
The included 3x LR44 cells power the LED for roughly a year of normal grooming. They're replaceable and available anywhere — no charging, no cables.
